JAVA DEVELOPER RECRUITMENT
GENERAL
22 февр. 2026 г.

Colombino is a creative Minecraft building server that has become a powerful and convenient platform for both beginner and professional builders, bringing together well-known and experienced builders across the CIS region.

At Colombino, we strive to grow in new directions: launching new game modes while continuing to support existing systems. We want to invite talented and passionate Java developers to help us bring ideas to life, improve our infrastructure, and keep delighting our players.

What you will be doing
  • Developing and maintaining plugins for Paper (Bukkit API);
  • Contributing to new game modes and server-side mechanics;
  • Designing and maintaining data storage (SQL/NoSQL), working with serialization and data models;
  • Improving performance and stability (profiling, bug fixing, and enhancing existing code);
  • Working as part of a team via Git (branches, PRs, code reviews), following agreed style and documentation conventions.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Java Core: Collections Framework, Stream API, multithreading;
  • Confident experience with Paper API (Bukkit API);
  • Experience with at least one persistent database and understanding of data access patterns (DAO/Repository) and data serialization;
  • Basic experience with Git (commits, branches, PRs);
  • Willingness to follow team conventions (commit messages, PR process, and basic Javadoc where it makes sense);
  • Willingness to collaborate long-term (project-based or ongoing);
  • Ability to communicate via voice chat.

Nice to have
  • Experience with Velocity API, Kyori Adventure API;
  • Experience with MongoDB / Redis / Postgres and their drivers/libraries in Java projects;
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot and experience building REST APIs (we don’t currently have projects on this stack, but it’s a plus);
  • Experience integrating payment provider APIs (UnitPay, YooKassa, etc.);
  • Understanding of application containerization (mainly Docker);
  • Understanding of safe memory and concurrency practices;

We offer
  • Task-based payment (scope and format discussed individually);
  • A friendly team atmosphere with minimal bureaucracy;
  • Mentoring, help with tasks, and mutual knowledge sharing;
  • We encourage initiative and creativity — we’re happy to discuss your ideas and help you implement them;
  • No strict quantitative metrics or micromanagement tools — we evaluate based on quality and results.

Be ready to share a few projects/repos or code samples and/or answer questions related to the mandatory requirements. We’re looking for a developer who’s willing to become part of a small team and grow the project with us.
